A family story
Our business was founded in 1964 by Mohammad Bagher Mohammad Khani, who began trading carpets from his home village in northern Iran while still a teenager. Over six decades the family has built one of Hamburg's most respected fine-carpet houses, now in its second generation under his son Mohammad Mohammad Khani.
We deal exclusively in hand-knotted, single-piece carpets — no machine-made stock, no reproductions.
Where our carpets come from
We buy directly from master weavers and trusted partners in:
- Iran — Ghom silk, 6-La / 9-La Nain, Tabriz, nomadic Qashqai and Bakhtiari rugs
- India — Kashmir silk and contemporary wool designs
- Afghanistan — traditional village rugs with hand-spun wool and vegetable dyes
Every piece is inspected and washed in our specialist Hamburg facility before it joins the collection.
Our home in Hamburg
Our showroom and warehouse are in Brooktorkai 7 in central Hamburg, a few minutes from the HafenCity. We're a fixture of Carpet Week Hamburg every year and welcome visits by appointment.
